Mohamed Basma was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, where he developed an early interest in healthcare through his family’s involvement in dentistry. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Memphis before pursuing his dental education at Lincoln Memorial University College of Dental Medicine, where he is currently completing his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. Clinically, Student Dr. Basma has gained experience across a wide range of procedures, including restorative dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. He has completed advanced training in implant dentistry, including cadaver-based implant
placement and full-arch restoration and has worked extensively with dental technologies such as CAD-CAM design, CBCT imaging, digital scanning, and 3D printing. Outside the classroom and clinic, Student Dr. Basma has dedicated over 300 hours to volunteer service at Remote Area Medical (RAM) Clinics, Mission of Mercy, and community dental events. His patient care philosophy centers on empathy, prevention, and applying
the latest evidence-based techniques to improve outcomes and quality of life.
