Kortney Powell is preparing to enter the field of dentistry with a strong spirit of comprehensive patient care and a record of professional achievement across the corporate, nonprofit, and education sectors. Before entering dentistry, he held significant leadership roles at top organizations, including Amazon, ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the University of Tennessee.
Academically, Kortney holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology, a master's degree in Comparative and Experimental Medicine, and is currently finishing his dual MBA/DMD degree programs. His research experiences have focused on the use of cementum annuli for forensic age estimation. This academic interest fueled his passion for technology, leading him to concentrate his business knowledge in AI and healthcare and participate in programs such as Google’s AI in Healthcare camp. Clinically, he aspires to be a knowledgeable and competent practitioner who serves the community in an environment that fosters exceptional patient care, utilizes data-driven research, and promotes oral-systemic health.
