Les Kalman has been involved with implant dentistry for over 25 years in clinical care, research and regulatory. He is a full time academic with a focus on education and medical device and technology research. He has delivered over 75 conference talks, presentations and CE courses locally, nationally and internationally and has more than 60 research publications, reviews, book chapters, editorials and case reports. He holds patents and has translated several technologies to industry. Kalman has been involved with research projects that were supported by internal and external research grants totaling over $1M in funding. Kalman has been recognized as a Fellow, Master and Diplomate (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), Fellow (Academy of Osseointegration), and a Schulich Alumni of Distinction. He received the Merck Patients First and a CES Innovation Award and was the 2023 AMUG Randy Stevens Scholarship recipient for his work with 3D printing.
